One of Europe's largest pop culture conventions with celebrities, cosplayers, gaming and traders.
Comic Con Scotland is back at the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston on 24 and 25 October, one of Europe's largest pop culture conventions. It's a big one, drawing tens of thousands of fans to the venue over the weekend, with people travelling from more than 40 countries and from across the UK to share their love of comics, fantasy, sci-fi, gaming, horror and cosplay.
It's a broad church of a show, bringing together followers of movies, TV, streaming, gaming, anime and sports entertainment. Beyond the star guests, you can meet your heroes for autographs or photos, watch them appear live on stage, and take pictures with unique props and set builds. There's plenty to do if you're not there for the guests: you can watch cosplayers, test your skills in retro and modern gaming areas, and browse the trader and artist halls.
It's the kind of weekend that works whether you're there for one specific thing or just want to wander around and see what's on. You can spend your time queuing for a signature, hunting for something rare in the trader halls, or just hanging out in the gaming zones. The cosplay is a huge part of it, too, with people turning up in full costume and others just coming to watch.
