Beginner-friendly drop-in craft workshop to make your own clay earrings at the independent studio BRSHES Edinburgh.
BRSHES Edinburgh is hosting a clay earring making workshop on Thursday 10 December, from 6pm to 9pm. It's a three-hour session where you get to experiment with moulding, cutting and designing your own pair of earrings to take home. The whole thing is beginner friendly, so you don't need any prior experience with clay to get stuck in.
BRSHES itself is an independent drop-in craft studio at 197 Gilmore Place, which also runs a gift shop. On a normal day, you can pick a craft from their menu and spend about two and a half hours making a piece from a pre-made kit, or just drop in to browse a curated selection of artisan gifts like greetings cards, crystals, ceramics, jewellery, incense and tarot cards. The studio runs weekly guided workshops for more complex activities and is available for private hire for things like hen dos, birthdays or group celebrations. It's women-owned and grew out of their sister company, Boozy Brushes, which helped thousands of guests let loose and put brush to canvas. The founders have been creating for over a decade, from painting and drag to sculpting, and they opened the new studio to offer crafts in a more relaxing, creative and, in their words, 'downright cute' atmosphere.
