Festive fabric wreath-making workshop for all levels, upcycling leftover fabrics into a reusable Christmas decoration, with all materials included.
The Edinburgh Sewcial Club is running a Christmas wreath making workshop across five dates this winter: 28, 29 and 30 November, and 4 and 5 December, with various times available each day. It's held in their studio at St Margaret's House (studio 5.10), 151 London Road, Edinburgh East EH7 6AE.
Rather than a traditional wreath of greenery, this is a fabric one. The whole thing is led by an experienced teacher who takes you through the process step by step, so it works for all levels and is perfectly fine if you've never done anything like this before. There's a sustainable angle to it too: instead of a disposable decoration you throw away after the holidays, you make one that can be reused year after year. The session also doubles as a chance to upcycle fabric scraps left over from previous projects, so you're making something new out of bits that might otherwise have gone to waste.

There's no sewing machine required—just your imagination and a bit of sparkle. You'll leave with a finished wreath to hang on your own door or to give as a gift, and with the skills to take on other projects at home. Hot drinks and light refreshments are provided, so it's as much about spending a few hours in a cosy Edinburgh craft studio as it is about the making. It's £50 per person, and that includes all the materials you'll need.
