German guitar duo Café del Mundo fuse flamenco, classical, jazz, pop and rock on their 'Guitarize The World' UK tour.
Café Del Mundo play The Queen's Hall on Wednesday 7 April 2027, starting at 19:00. The duo consists of Jan Pascal and Alexander Kilian, who met at a workshop in 2007 and have released more than ten albums since. They call the Franconian-Baden-Hessian border region they call home 'Alemándalucía', and the name fits the music: they fuse Spanish flamenco with classical, jazz, pop and rock. The Süddeutsche Zeitung described the sound as 'audibly limitless'.
It's a style that blends Andalusian tradition with modern pop, rock and electronic influences, and they've built a substantial online following along the way, with millions of YouTube views and more than 250 million Instagram streams. They've recorded at Abbey Road Studios and performed with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The Edinburgh date is part of their Guitarize The World UK tour, which also stops in Dublin, Manchester, Gateshead, Birmingham, Cardiff and London.
