High-energy crafting night at the drop-in studio BRSHES Edinburgh, with each session in its monthly series inspired by a different nostalgic theme.
BRSHES Edinburgh is hosting its Nostalgia Night Crafting Party on Saturday 24 October, part of a monthly series of high-energy crafting sessions. Each one takes its lead from a different era, movie, cultural moment or nostalgic theme, so the vibe changes from month to month. If you've been before, you'll know the drill: you book online, pick a craft from the menu, and spend about two and a half hours making your own piece from a pre-made kit. It's beginner-friendly, so you don't need to be any good at it to get stuck in.
BRSHES itself is an independent drop-in craft studio and gift shop in Edinburgh West, at 197 Gilmore Place (EH3 9PW). When you're not there for a party, you can just drop in to browse a curated selection of artisan gifts. The studio also runs weekly guided workshops for more complex activities, and they stock a fair few whimsical, hand-made things: greeting cards, crystals, ceramics, jewellery, incense and tarot cards. It's BYOB, so you can bring along whatever you fancy to sip while you work.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Edinburgh and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

Because it's a studio and a shop in one, it's also available for private hire—hen dos, birthdays or group celebrations—if you'd rather have the place to yourselves. The Nostalgia Night is one of their regular group sessions, and since each one is built around a different theme, it's worth keeping an eye on the upcoming ones if this particular era doesn't quite hit the spot. You'll find them at 197 Gilmore Place, Edinburgh West EH3 9PW.
