Beginner-friendly sip and paint session with a drag queen teacher, painting world hotspots to modern pop music.
Boozy Brushes are hosting a drag-led sip and paint at Le Monde Hotel on Saturday 14 November, from 1 pm to 3 pm. The session is themed around world hotspots, with a drag queen leading the class and modern pop music playing in the background while you paint.
It's a beginner-friendly setup, so you don't need to have picked up a brush before. All the materials are provided, and there are hosts on hand to guide you through the process, which is pitched as an accessible entry point into painting. The idea they run with is that art isn't restricted to any particular type of person, and picking up a new skill can be light-hearted, fun and therapeutic. If you're not feeling the group theme, you can also ignore the prompt and paint something entirely your own.
Boozy Brushes run similar sip and paint and sip and sculpt sessions across Edinburgh, often themed around drag and music, so if this one hits the spot, there are usually more to choose from. The hotel is Le Monde Hotel, 16 George Street, Edinburgh EH2 2PF, right in the city centre.
