Big Country play The Liquid Room on Victoria Street with special guest Evan Peters Presents The Alarm on their 'The Seer' 40th anniversary tour.
Big Country play The Liquid Room on Sunday 20 December, as part of their UK tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Seer. They're joined by special guest Evan Peters Presents The Alarm, so you'll get two bands on one bill.
Big Country formed in Dunfermline and rose to fame led by England-born Stuart Adamson, whose bagpipe-inflected guitars and Celtic-inspired anthems made their debut album The Crossing a UK platinum record and spawned the Top 20 hit 'In a Big Country'. Their third studio album, The Seer, arrived in 1986 and cemented that widescreen sound with towering tracks like 'Look Away', 'The Teacher' and the sweeping title track, alongside later favourites like 'Fields of Fire'. Now fronted by co-founder and longest-serving member Bruce Watson, the band is taking The Seer on a UK anniversary run.
The tour also honours an emotional pact between Watson and Mike Peters following Peters' cancer diagnosis, bringing both bands' hits to the same stage. That explains the double bill: Big Country and The Alarm sharing the night.
