Behind the business: The Scotch Whisky Experience (& TASTING)

The Scotch Whisky Experience is hosting Behind the business on Wednesday 11 November, from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. It's set in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle at 354 Castlehill, and it brings together finance professionals, business leaders, CIMA members, students and guests for an evening that mixes professional development with Scotland's whisky heritage.

The first half is the business side. Jamie Marwick, the venue's Finance Director and a CIMA member, gives an inside look at the financial leadership behind one of Scotland's most successful tourism and hospitality brands. He'll talk through how things run from the back office, followed by a talk and a Q&A session where you can ask your own questions.

The second half is the whisky side. A senior whisky tutor from the Experience leads a guided tasting of three carefully selected Scotch whiskies, unpicking the stories, regions and craftsmanship behind each dram. There are non-alcoholic alternatives for non-drinkers, so you don't have to drink to get the full walk-through.

Tickets are £15 to £40 via Eventbrite, and the whole thing runs from 6:00 to 8:30 pm at The Scotch Whisky Experience, 354 Castlehill, Edinburgh EH1 2NE.
