Beginner-friendly braiding workshop with hair stylist Mandy (Hair By Mandy) covering knotless braids, boho braids and cornrows.
Hair By Mandy is running a beginner-friendly braiding workshop at The Space on Sunday 25 October, from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. It's the final braiding class Mandy is holding in Edinburgh this year, so if you've been meaning to pick up the skill, this is the last chance to do it in person before the year wraps up.
The session covers three distinct styles: knotless braids, boho braids, and cornrows. But before you get into those, Mandy spends time on the basics of proper hair parting, which she describes as the foundation for neat, well-finished braids. From there, you'll learn, practise, and build confidence with each style, with guidance and personalised support throughout the afternoon. Everyone takes home a goodie bag at the end.

It's a two-and-a-half-hour in-person workshop, and under-16s need to attend with a parent or legal guardian. There's free parking available at the venue, and there are no refunds. Doors open at 2:25 pm, and the session runs from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm at The Space, 183 Dalry Road, Edinburgh EH11 2EB. Tickets are £40 Early Bird or £45 General Admission.
