Early-evening club night for ravers over 30 to relive the 80s, 90s and early 2000s clubbing scene, with a resident DJ spinning club classics.
Bed By 10pm is back at The Liquid Room on Saturday 21 November, running from 4pm to 9pm. It's an early-evening club night pitched at ravers over 30, and the name tells you exactly what the point is: you get a full night out and you're home and in bed by 10pm, without ruining the Sunday morning. If you've spent your weekends in dancefloors since the 80s, you know the drill, and this is the same thing just shifted a few hours earlier.
The resident DJ spins club classics from the 80s, 90s and early 2000s, and the production matches the era. There are crazy visuals, confetti showers and CO2 cannons, so it's a proper club night rather than just a DJ set. The whole thing is built around the peak of those three decades, so the music pulls from the house, dance and rave sounds that defined them.
The Liquid Room is an independent live music venue and nightclub on Victoria Street in Edinburgh's Old Town, close to the Grassmarket and the Cowgate. It's been hosting live gigs, electronic music, club nights, DJ sets, punk and indie acts, tribute nights and private hire since 1997. The room is mostly standing with bench seating around the edge and a small number of reserved stools, and it's had an extensive refurbishment over the years. It's a familiar spot for a lot of us, and it's where this particular night makes its home.
