California roots rock and blues-folk-soul band Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse play The Voodoo Rooms, over-18s only.
Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse play The Voodoo Rooms on Wednesday 10 February 2027, starting at 7:30pm. They're a California-based roots rock band, and the night is an over-18s only show.
The project is led by Greta Valenti, born and raised in Louisiana, and Robin Davey, a British Blues Hall of Fame inductee known for The Hoax, DVL, and Well Hung Heart. The live band, The Apocalypse, pulls musicians from across the globe to fit their cross-Atlantic touring, so the line-up changes depending on where they're playing. Their sound sits at the intersection of blues rock, Americana, country and soul, and they're not particularly keen on being pinned down to any one of them.
They've picked up a fair bit of praise along the way. RhythmBooze described the finale of their show as 'a mind-boggling, blistering finish', Louder Sounds said it reminds you 'of the wonder of life', and Rockshot Magazine called them a 'New Orleans-inspired, American blues-folk-soul band' who refuse to be pigeon-holed. If you're into that mix of American roots and blues rock, that should give you a good idea of what to expect.
