Social badminton session for players of varying abilities, focused on fun, fitness and friendly competition, open to returners and former league players.
Badminton Club is back at Stewart's Melville College on Tuesday 3 November, from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM. It's a social badminton session built around fun, fitness and friendly competition, and it's open to a range of abilities, from returners to former league players. The club describes it as a place for people who want to dip in without making an 'every week' commitment: there are no courts to book and no friends to cajole, you just book online and turn up with your racquet.
New players are welcome, though social matchplay skills are required, so it's not suitable for absolute beginners. The courts are popular, and the club advises booking a few days ahead to guarantee a place. It's a good shout if you've played before but haven't found a regular game lately, or if you just fancy a bit of a run-around on a Tuesday night without the pressure of a league.
