Relaxed, conversation-led networking evening for Black professionals, creatives and founders across Scotland to connect and share opportunities.
AFROSOCIAL is bringing its Edinburgh edition to The Alchemist George Street on Wednesday 28 October, from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. It's a social for Black professionals to meet in the city, and the organisers pitch it as a relaxed after-work alternative to the usual networking event. The idea is to trade forced small talk for actual conversation, with guest speakers and a chilled setting rather than a room full of people swapping business cards.
AfroSocial describes itself as a networking community of Black professionals across various industries, aiming to connect, inspire and provide opportunities for Black professionals to thrive both personally and professionally. This particular evening is billed as a premium, conversation-led gathering for Black professionals, creatives, founders and culture-makers from across Scotland, designed for intentional connection within the city's cultural scene. Refreshments are included.
The organisers frame the return as coming back 'with intention, confidence and cultural clarity', blending the elegance of Edinburgh with the global energy of AfroSocial. It's a mid-week slot, so it sits as a post-work thing rather than a late one, running for three hours on a Wednesday night. The venue is The Alchemist George Street, 51 George Street, EH2 2HT, right in the city centre.
