Dark comic drama by Rob Drummond about three women who were widowed by the same man, with each ticket including a pie from Piemaker and a drink.
Dead Husbands Club runs at Assembly Roxy from Monday 16 to Saturday 21 November, with the show starting at 1pm every day. It's a new dark comic drama by Rob Drummond, directed by Cora Bissett, and it's being staged on the Roxy Upstairs stage as part of A Play, A Pie and A Pint's Autumn 2026 season.
The story follows three women — Emily, Maya and Shelley — who were all widowed after the same man killed each of their husbands. They've called themselves the 'Dead Husbands Club', and they meet up regularly for karaoke, belting out hit songs while the truth about why their husbands were targeted slowly comes out. Drummond describes it as a play that looks at blame, responsibility and the stories we tell ourselves to live with loss.
It's a co-production between Aberdeen Performing Arts and Assembly Theatre, and it sits within the A Play, A Pie and A Pint season, which the company stages alongside Òran Mór. The format is part of the draw here: every ticket includes a meat or vegan pie from Piemaker and a drink, and the bar opens an hour before the show starts.
