Charity concert with Aidan O'Rourke, Graeme Stephen, Dean Owens and others, with speaker Humza Yousaf, raising funds for Medical Aid for Palestinians.
A Night for MAP comes to The Queen's Hall on Thursday 12 November, a charity concert raising money for Medical Aid for Palestinians. The night is presented by Douglas Robertson and Aidan O'Rourke, and all proceeds go towards food, clean water and medical aid for people suffering under the siege in Gaza.
It's a substantial line-up of Scottish musicians. Aidan O'Rourke performs with Graeme Stephen; Harben Kay plays with Stephen Henderson; and Beth Malcolm, Iain Morrison, Cahalen Morrison and Kathleen Macinnes appear together. Between the sets, Humza Yousaf will speak. Robertson frames the whole thing as a moral stand against the ongoing conflict, contrasting MAP's work providing medical care in Gaza with what he describes as the UK government's continued supply of weapons to Israel. He also noted that many of the musicians are performing at their own expense and that MAP uses every cent judiciously.
