New dance class for anyone aged 50 and over, with no prior dance experience required, held every Tuesday.
50+ Movers starts at the Edinburgh Playhouse on Tuesday 27 October, and it's not a one-off. It's a brand new dance class that runs every Tuesday from then until 1 December, so you're looking at a few weeks of it rather than a single session. If you're over 50 and have spent your life thinking you've got two left feet, this is exactly the sort of thing that's meant for you.
The first thing to get out of the way is the experience part: there's no prior dance experience needed to take part. You don't need to have ever stepped foot in a studio or known your way around a dance floor to join in. It's open to anyone aged 50 and over, so the whole point is that you can just turn up as you are. If you've always wanted to try dancing but felt like you'd missed the boat, this is your opening.
It's being held at the Edinburgh Playhouse, 18-22 Greenside Place, EH1 3AA, right in the city centre. Having it there makes it easy to get to, and because it's a weekly class, you can make it a regular Tuesday thing rather than a one-off. The sessions run from 27 October through to 1 December, so you've got several weeks to get into the swing of it.
