Flagship hepatology conference of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, with more than 265 hours of content, 2,500+ posters and 39 advanced practice provider sessions.
The Liver Meeting 2026 takes over the Colorado Convention Center from Thursday, November 5 to Monday, November 9. It's the flagship gathering of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), the leading organization of scientists and health care professionals working to prevent and cure liver disease. This year's edition runs under the theme ELEVATE and opens a day earlier than usualβa one-time adjustment made in recognition of Diwali, a holiday of deep meaning to many of the association's members and attendees.
The scale of the program is hard to wrap your head around: more than 265 hours of content, over 2,500 posters, 39 Advanced Practice Provider sessions, 29 Community Conversations, and 11 patient-focused sessions. The President's Choice address will be given by Dr. Peter Hotez, and there's a new addition this year, the inaugural 'Liver Care for Frontline Clinicians' program. The AASLD Foundation, a solely donor-funded organization whose every dollar supports the next generation of hepatologists, also plays a part.
Beyond the sessions, there are a few social markers to keep in mind. The Awards & Honors Gala is on Saturday, November 7, and the Fellows' Reception and Members' Reception will be held at the Denver Art Museum. There's also the second Walk of Honor, which recognizes a mentor, colleague, or leader in hepatology.
