Nine-time Tony Award winning Best Musical, The Book of Mormon, at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
The Book of Mormon plays at the Buell Theatre from January 5 to 17, 2027, as part of the Denver Performing Arts Complex in downtown Denver. It's the nine-time Tony Award winner for Best Musical, created by Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Robert Lopezโthe same team behind South Park.
The story follows a mismatched pair of missionaries sent halfway across the world to spread the Good Word. It's been a standing-room-only draw in London, on Broadway and across North America, and the critics have been unusually kind: The New York Times called it "the best musical of this century," The Washington Post described it as "the kind of evening that restores your faith in musicals," and Entertainment Weekly gave it a Grade A, calling it "the funniest musical of all time." Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show called it "Genius. Brilliant. Phenomenal."

There are a few practical things to keep in mind before you go. The show contains explicit language and runs about two and a half hours, which includes a 20-minute intermission. If you're planning your evening around it, that's the window to stretch your legs or grab a drink. The Buell is the largest venue in the Denver Performing Arts Complex, with 2,839 seats spread across the Orchestra, Mezzanine and Balcony levels, so you've got a few different sections to choose from when you pick your seats.
