Broadway comedy musical about Buddy, a young orphan who discovers he is human and journeys to New York to find his birth father.
ELF The Musical plays at the Buell Theatre from December 22 to 27, 2026, as part of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Denver's Arts Complex. It's a comedy musical inspired by the hit film, and it's recommended for all ages, so it works as a family outing if you've got kids in the mix.
The story follows Buddy, a young orphan who crawls into Santa's sack of toys on Christmas Eve, discovers he's actually human, and sets off for New York City to find his birth father. Along the way, he helps the Big Apple rediscover the true meaning of Christmas. This is an all-new tour based on the 2024 Broadway production, which The New York Times praised for having "cracked the code of all-ages comedy" and The New Yorker called enough to "make you believe in the magic of Christmas."
