Concert by the metalcore and industrial rock band Silent Planet at the Summit Music Hall.
Silent Planet play Summit Music Hall on Friday, November 20, 2026. They're a California-based alternative metalcore band, and their sound sits right at the intersection of metalcore and industrial rock.
If you're not familiar with them, it's worth knowing where they stand. They describe themselves as a politically conscious and politically motivated progressive metalcore group, and they've put that into practice. They played in Ukraine, becoming one of the first Western bands to do so since Russia invaded in 2022. In July 2025, they released the song 'Wick' as part of a campaign to aid children in Ukraine affected by the invasion—a move frontman Garrett Russell framed as coming from a politically conscious band. It's a good way to get a sense of the drive behind their work.
On stage, that translates to a set that blends the heavy, rhythmic side of metalcore with the colder, mechanical textures of industrial rock. The two styles pull in opposite directions—one toward the organic and the other toward the synthetic—and that's where the band spends most of its time.
