The Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra plays a 1920s-inspired program of Gershwin, Chopin, Satie and Debussy reimagined as jazz chamber music.
The Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra brings Reveries de Jazz to the Arvada Center on Saturday, February 27, 2027, at 7 PM. The show takes place at the Main Stage Theatre.
The program is built around newly imagined scores in a 1920s-inspired setting. Artistic Director Drew Zaremba has reworked music by Gershwin, Chopin, Satie, and Debussy, moving these pieces into a jazz chamber context. The set revisits the music of Decadent Desires, so the evening leans on those particular reworkings rather than a standard big band book.
The CJRO has been around for fourteen years, led by Zaremba and Founding Executive Director Art Bouton. They're known as one of Colorado's big band jazz ensembles, and their sound pulls from classic, soul, and Latin jazz. They usually feature Colorado musicians alongside guest artists, so the lineup often changes from night to night.
