GWAR at Summit Music Hall

GWAR are playing the Summit Music Hall on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 7 PM. They're bringing Mac Sabbath, Midnight, and Nailed Shut MA along for the bill, so there's a full night of it rather than just the headliner.

If you've never seen them, GWAR are a shock-metal outfit from Richmond, Virginia, around since 1985. They're known for over-the-top lyrics and barbaric interplanetary warrior costumes, and their live shows blend theatrics, storytelling, and humor with copious fake blood and staged violence, drawing on punk and metal. The Denver date is part of Gor Gor's Reign of Terror, the tour they're running to celebrate the band's 40th anniversary.

The lineup on stage is a whole cast of characters: Pustulus Maximus on lead guitar and vocals, BälSäc the Jaws 'o Death on rhythm guitar and vocals, Beefcake the Mighty on bass, and JiZMak da Gusha on drums. They're joined by The Beserker as lead howler, Sawborg as their annoying nemesis, and Bonesnapper and Crappy Vocals as bodyguards. It's a full ensemble, not just a band.

For the 40th anniversary, they're offering VIP packages that include a Gor Gor shirt, keychain, and hand towel featuring new art, and for the first time ever, a stage-played guitar signed by the whole band. The show is at the Summit Music Hall, 1902 Blake St, Denver, CO, starting at 7 PM on Thursday, November 12.
