Singer-songwriter Chris Koza performs two sets of original songs and covers near Union Station in front of Whole Foods.
Chris Koza is playing two sets of original songs and covers at Whole Foods Market on Tuesday, October 13, starting at 11:30 AM. He's a singer-songwriter from Portland, Oregon, and this is a solo date in front of the Whole Foods on Wewatta, near Union Station.
Koza has been at this since 2004 and has more than a dozen albums to his name, both on his own and with the bands Rogue Valley and Nobody Kid. His sound sits across acoustic, indie folk, and classic rock. One of those earlier records, the 2014 collection In Real Time, runs to twelve songs inspired by the blurry binaries of road life and home life.
He's also coming off a new release. Millsmoke On The Skyline came out this month, and one of the songs from it, "Favorite Place," is already out there. The lyrics on that one lean into longing and reflection, and since he's playing two sets of originals and covers, there's a good chance you'll hear some of the new material alongside the older stuff.
