Concert by the American electronic duo Breathe Carolina with support from Girlfriends at the Summit Music Hall.
Breathe Carolina play Summit Music Hall on Saturday, December 19, with Girlfriends opening. It's a homecoming of sorts for them—they're an electronic duo from right here in Denver, so this one puts them back on their own turf.
The project started in 2007 as a 'just for fun' thing between friends Kyle Even and David Schmitt. They recorded tracks at home on GarageBand and posted them to MySpace, where they built a huge online following. What began as a bedroom experiment grew into an internationally sought-after act. Since those early days, the duo has released four albums and six EPs. These days, the lineup is David Schmitt and Tommy Cooperman.
Girlfriends takes the opening slot, and the whole night is billed as all-ages, so you can bring along younger friends or siblings. Just keep in mind that support acts are subject to change, so it's worth checking the latest before you head out.
