The Dallas Bach Society leads a Messiah sing-along with the Dallas Bach Orchestra and soloists, with the audience serving as the chorus.
The Dallas Bach Society brings its Messiah sing-along to the AT&T Performing Arts Center on Monday, December 21, at 7:30 PM. It's an informal reading of Handel's Messiah where the audience takes the place of the chorus, singing along with the Dallas Bach Orchestra and the society's soloists. If you've never done it, that's the whole point: you're not just watching the performance, you're part of it.
The society calls it a perennial favorite, and it's a popular oneโthe 2025 performance sold out. It's also the lighter companion to their annual full staging of the work, which happens the following night at the Meyerson Symphony Center with the Dallas Bach Orchestra and Chorus under Artistic Director James Richman. So if you're in the mood to sing along on Monday, you can still catch the formal version on Tuesday.
Beyond the stage, the Dallas Bach Society does educational outreach like the Baroque Break-out program, which brings Baroque music into local high schools with support from the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture. The sing-along is part of that same tradition of getting the music out into the city.
