Mariachi El Bronx, the punk-mariachi alter ego of The Bronx, performs live at AM/FM Backyard in Dallas, joined by special guest Max Diaz.
Mariachi El Bronx play AM/FM Backyard on Saturday, October 10, as part of their You Ése Tour '26. If the name sounds familiar but the setup doesn't, here's the deal: Mariachi El Bronx is the punk-mariachi alter ego of The Bronx, the Los Angeles band. They've swapped the standard punk gear for the horns and guitars of a mariachi ensemble, and they're bringing that whole thing to Dallas.
They aren't playing alone. Opening the bill is Max Diaz, a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who first broke through with his debut track "Bedroom Pop" and followed it with the album Again. His music draws on a wide range of artists and the memory of his late father, and he describes it as both a creative outlet and a way to honor the experiences that shaped him. Between the two acts, you'll get a singer-songwriter set and a full-band punk-mariachi show in one night.
