Concert by the East LA trio Clarion, blending shoegaze, post-punk and Japanese rock, supported by Misfire SD and Mind's Eye.
Clarion play AM/FM on Tuesday, December 8, with Misfire SD and Mind's Eye opening. The East LA trio brings a sound that pulls from shoegaze, post-punk and Japanese rock, held together by loud amps, distortion and danceable beats.
Saya handles vocals and bass, Anthony is on guitar and Joseph is on drums. They formed in late 2023 and put out their self-titled Clarion EP shortly after, which includes "Hello Juliet," a track that's racked up millions of streams. They followed that with the Blue Fairy EP in 2026, so there's a fair bit of recorded material to draw from for a live set.
Beyond the music, the band is known for its community involvement, so they're more than just the three of them on stage. They're an East LA group through and through, and that background sits alongside the J-rock and shoegaze influences they describe.
