Concert by Austin-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jackie Venson at AM/FM Backyard.
Jackie Venson plays AM/FM Backyard in Dallas on Saturday, November 14, 2026. She's an Austin-based multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, and she'll be the sole bill for the night.
If you haven't come across her yet, Venson works across a few different sounds—blues-rock, synth pop, rock, and soul-blues—and she handles both the singing and the guitar. She's played as a headliner and as support for Gary Clark Jr., Aloe Blacc, and Citizen Cope, so she's comfortable on a big stage as well as a small one.
There's a specific project from her recent years that's worth knowing about. During the pandemic, after her entire tour was canceled, she committed to releasing more music and to connecting with fans through a daily live stream on Facebook, Twitch, and Reddit. On April 20, she put out a new EP, jackie the robot vol 1, which is made up entirely of remixes that reimagine her critically acclaimed catalog. It's a different way of looking at her older songs, and it's a good place to start if you're just getting into her work.

Between the blues-rock and the synth pop, the common thread is her guitar playing, which she's known for. She's as much a musician as she is a songwriter, and that comes through when she's playing live. The show is on Saturday, November 14, starting at 7 PM at AM/FM Backyard in Dallas.
