Concert by the melodic death metal pioneers In Flames, supported by Trivium, at the South Side Ballroom.
In Flames play the South Side Ballroom on Sunday, November 29, as part of the Crown in the Grave World Tour, with Trivium on the bill. The show starts at 7 PM.
If you're not familiar with them, In Flames are one of the bands that helped build melodic death metal. They formed in Gothenburg, Sweden, back in 1990, and have put out twelve studio albums since then. Their debut, Lunar Strain, came out in 1994, and they've released a steady stream of records in the years following, through to Battles in 2016. Over those decades, they've sold millions of records and seen their sound shift along the way.
The current lineup is Liam Wilson, Jon Rice, Chris Broderick, Björn Gelotte, and Anders Fridén. The fans who've stuck with them call themselves Jesterheads, and they live by the phrase "In Flames We Trust."
