A kid-friendly, one-hour concert of holiday classics with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, designed for all ages to share.
Family Holidays with the DSO comes to the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center on Saturday, December 12, 2026, at 11 AM. It's a one-hour concert of holiday classics, and as the name suggests, it's built for all ages to share. The whole thing runs about an hour, which makes it an easy one to bring the kids to without worrying about them getting restless.
There are a few things that set this apart from a standard symphony performance. Saint Nick makes a pit stop during the show, the audience is invited to sing along, and the grand finale brings snowfall inside the concert hall. It's less about sitting still and listening in silence and more about getting everyone involved.
The music is led by conductor Lawrence Loh, with mezzo-soprano Josefina Maldonado and the Dallas Symphony Chorus, directed by Anthony Blake Clark. Bradley Hunter Welch is on the organ, playing the Lay Family Organ. The program sticks to holiday classics, so you'll recognize the tunes.

This is part of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra's 2026/27 season, which is framed around the idea of inviting audiences to 'really listen' to the music. As part of that, the Meyerson opens two hours before every concert, so you've got plenty of time to get settled before the music starts. Tickets start at $48, and the show runs about an hour, starting at 11 AM on Saturday, December 12.
