A live music evening featuring the Coldplay tribute band Life in Technicolor at the Dallas Arboretum, with sunset views over White Rock Lake.
Life in Technicolor brings a Coldplay tribute to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden on Thursday, October 8, as part of the Cool Thursdays Concert Series. The band is new to the series, and they're bringing the sweeping sound and bright energy of Coldplay to the garden with a set that runs from "Yellow" to "Viva la Vida."
Cool Thursdays is an annual nightlife event that's been running for 29 years, and it's one of the city's favorite concert series. The whole idea is to pair live music with sunset views over White Rock Lake and an evening of garden wandering. The music happens at the Martin Rutchik Concert Lawn, which is a general-admission, first-come-first-served space, so if you want a particular spot, you'll want to get there early.
One thing worth knowing is that the Arboretum is a certified sensory-inclusive venue through a partnership with KultureCity. They provide social stories and sensory bags for guests with sensory sensitivities, so it's a place that's set up to be accessible for different needs. Between the music and the garden, there's plenty to do around the grounds before and after the show.

The concert runs from 7 PM to 9 PM, with the gates opening at 6 PM, so you have an hour to get in and find your place on the lawn before the music starts. Tickets are $40 for members, $45 for guests, and $30 for children ages 2 to 12.
