Gala dance performance with world-class artists, premieres, and special appearances including the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
TITAS is bringing Command Performance back to the Winspear Opera House on Saturday, April 24, 2027. It's their signature gala, staged only once a year, and they describe it as "the pyrotechnics of dance"—a night that pulls together some of the most exciting, innovative, and beautiful work being performed today. The evening pairs classical and modern dance, and it's built around TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND commissions created specifically for the gala by a roster of world-leading choreographers, with artists from top companies lighting up the stage.
That roster includes Twyla Tharp, William Forsythe, Dwight Rhoden, Jessica Lang, and Mia Michaels, each contributing a commissioned work. The program doesn't stop there, either: the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders make a special appearance. Between the high-profile names and the new material, the bill covers a lot of ground in one night.
Command Performance is the one night a year TITAS puts this particular gala on, and it's their biggest production of the season. The DANCE UNBOUND commissions are the centerpiece, and the mix of classical and modern styles means you'll see a few different approaches to dance on the same stage. If you're into seeing new work from choreographers who usually operate on a global scale, this is where they're all landing in Dallas at once.

The performance starts at 8 PM at the Winspear Opera House, 2403 Flora Street. If you want to make a full evening of it, there's a gala dinner offered separately, two hours before the show.
