Symphonic band of The Ohio State University plays 'Once Upon a Time...' at Weigel Hall in the Timashev Music Building.
Symphonic Band is playing Once Upon a Time... at Weigel Hall on Monday, November 16, from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM. It's a full wind ensemble on stage, so you're getting a big, brassy sound rather than a small group. The title gives you a good sense of the mood they're going for—something with a storytelling arc to it.
If you haven't spent much time over at the Timashev Music Building, Weigel Hall is the main performance space there. It's located at 1866 College Road North in Columbus, and the south facade is still visible, with an entrance just across from the Wexner Center for the Arts. It's a dedicated music venue, so the room is built for exactly this kind of sound—a full band filling the space without anything getting lost in the mix.
