Shakey Graves plays Newport Music Hall with Jobi Riccio on the Fondness, Etc. tour, with a portion of ticket sales going to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.
Shakey Graves plays Newport Music Hall on Thursday, December 17, as part of his Fondness, Etc. Tour. He's joined by Jobi Riccio, a folk- and country-rooted singer-songwriter who broke through with her 2023 debut Whiplash. She was an Americana Music Association Emerging Act of the Year nominee and has played the Grand Ole Opry and toured with Lucius, Jason Isbell and Iron & Wine.
Shakey Graves is the stage name of Alejandro Rose-Garcia, an Austin, Texas-born artist who builds his shows around immersive, fan-focused experiences. He's known for burning CDs and gifting them in personalized decorated bags, setting up intricate scavenger hunts that send fans searching for unique tapes, and releasing music exclusively through Bandcamp. He describes the approach as a quest to make people feel like his music is a "choose your own adventure."
In 2024, he marked the ten-year anniversary of his album And The War Came with a 10 Year Anniversary Edition of previously unheard demos and b-sides, and invited fans to the long-abandoned Music House. That record remains a central part of his catalog, and this tour brings his live set to Columbus.
