Concert by Taiwanese folk metal musician Nini Music, who fuses traditional Chinese instruments with rock and metal, with support from Seven Kingdoms and Tamir Hargana.
Nini plays The Summit Music Hall on Wednesday, October 21, with Seven Kingdoms and Tamir Hargana (tengger cavalry) opening. It's a mid-week show, so you'll be there on a Wednesday night rather than a weekend.
Nini is a Taiwanese musician and composer from Taichung who builds her sound around traditional Chinese instruments. She plays the zhong ruan, the pipa, and the liuqin—three different plucked lutes from the Chinese tradition—and weaves them into rock, metal, and electronic music. She's classically trained, and that background shows in the way she handles the instruments, but the resulting sound is folk metal. She's known for high-energy live shows and has toured internationally, and this is one of those dates that brings her through Columbus.

Sharing the bill are Seven Kingdoms and Tamir Hargana, performing as tengger cavalry. With three acts on the program, the night will move through several sets before Nini takes the stage. The whole thing is happening at The Summit Music Hall, and it starts at 6:30 PM.
