National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation Beer Tasting w/ the Possum Posse

Grandview Theater is bringing back its National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation beer tasting on Saturday, October 31, in Studio 35. It's an annual thing they do, and this year the tasting is hosted by Andy Wuelfing. The whole night is built around the movie, so you'll want to come with a plan for the timing: the tasting starts at the posted time, and the screening follows roughly two hours later.

What you get for your ticket is a package of ten Christmas beers and a custom pint glass to drink them from. There are raffle prizes in the mix too. While you're working through the flight, Jomo and the Possum Posse will be playing several songs live in the room. Once the tasting wraps, the theater screens National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, the 1989 comedy with Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo as the Grisolds and Randy Quaid as Clark's cousin Eddie. The venue frames it as "that time of year again," and the whole thing leans on the movie's cult following.

It's a 21+ door policy, so bring your ID. Tickets are $60, and the tasting begins at the posted time, with the movie following roughly two hours later.
