Indie country singer-songwriter Michaela Anne plays Charlie's Stage at Natalie's on King Avenue with her album 'These Are The Days'.
Michaela Anne plays Natalie's on Thursday, October 22, at 8 PM. She's a singer-songwriter who moved from Brooklyn to Nashville and has since become a fixture of the city's indie-country scene. Her music blends rock, country, and pop, and she's known for narrative depth and a timeless voice.
She's touring her new album, These Are The Days, her first release on Georgia June Records and the first record she fully owns. The songs came out of a heavy personal stretch: she became a mother while her own mother was recovering from a life-altering stroke. The album deals with love, grief, resilience, and the weight of ordinary life. It's a stark shift from her earlier work, which earned her a name in the Nashville scene.
Anne first drew attention with her debut, Ease My Mind, and broke through with 2019's Desert Dove. Her song "Bright Lights and the Fame" got coverage from The New York Times, Noisey, Rolling Stone, Stereogum, and NPR, and features appearances by Rodney Crowell, Cory Chisel, and Noam Pikelny of Punch Brothers. Rolling Stone compared her sound to the country-rock of the Eagles, with vocals in the vein of Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris.
