All-ages show by singer-songwriter Medium Build with support from Eden Joel at Newport Music Hall.
Medium Build brings his The King of Having Fun tour to Newport Music Hall on Monday, November 16, with Eden Joel opening. Medium Build is the stage name of Nick Carpenter, a queer singer-songwriter who built a cult following in Anchorage, Alaska, before moving to Nashville. His music blends old country soul with contemporary sounds, and songs like "Crying Over U" and "Never Learned to Dance" show off his intricate lyricism and a voice that's gravelly yet soft.
He's spent the last few years touring with pop headliners like Lewis Capaldi, Matt Maeson, and FINNEAS. In 2024, he supported Holly Humberstone across the EU and UK, played with Tyler Childers in California, and headlined across the US—all while following up last year's In My Room, which got support from BBC1, Alt Nation, and Zane Lowe.
