American Cancer Society breast cancer walk held at Genoa Park, a celebration of courage and hope to raise funds for cancer research and patient services.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer returns to Genoa Park on Sunday, October 25, for its annual walk and run in Columbus. It's part of the American Cancer Society's breast cancer movement, which they describe as the largest network of breast cancer events in the nationβa celebration of courage and hope that brings communities together to end the disease.
The money raised goes toward groundbreaking research and patient services that hit close to home for anyone who's dealt with a diagnosis. That includes free information for people navigating cancer, free rides to chemotherapy and treatment, and lodging at Hope Lodge locations for patients who have to travel far from home for care. There's also a live 24/7 cancer helpline available to anyone who needs it.
