Koo Koo brings their dance-a-long show to A&R Music Bar on Saturday, May 1, 2027, starting at 1 PM. It's an all-ages dance party, so you can bring the kids along rather than leaving them at home for the afternoon.
Koo Koo is the project of Bryan and Neil, two Minneapolis friends who set out to make live music more fun. They don't travel with a full band; they work with an iPod, two microphones, a giant rainbow, and a pair of gold sneakers. From there, they build a dance party that invites everyone in the room to join in rather than just watching from the crowd. They describe themselves as a hyper-active dance pop act, and the whole thing is built around getting people on their feet.
They've been at this since 2008, and the list of places they've played is as varied as the crowds they draw. They've toured clubs, theaters, schools, bars, colleges, church basements, dumpsters, and even nursing homes. Along the way, they've shared stages with Frank Turner, The Aquabats, Reel Big Fish, MC Lars, and Yo Gabba Gabba Live, and they've appeared on the Vans Warped Tour. It's a long track record of playing just about anywhere that'll have them.
