Hands-on jewelry workshop in which participants make a pair of earrings from pre-cut wire, choosing the metal and gemstones, with tools and materials provided.
Opuntia Flowers is hosting a jewelry workshop at North Market Bridge Park on Wednesday, October 28, from 6 PM to 8 PM. Over the course of about two hours, you'll make a pair of earrings from scratch, and the best part is that all the tools and materials are provided, so you don't need to bring a thing.
It's a hands-on session led by Irasema. You get to pick your own metal and gemstones, and you'll work with pre-cut wire that you'll bend, cut, file, and stamp to shape. Freshwater pearls are among the options on the table, so if you're into that look, you're in luck. By the time the two hours are up, you'll walk away with a finished pair of earrings you made yourself.
If you haven't spent much time there, North Market Bridge Park is an outdoor market and event space in Columbus that keeps a pretty full calendar year-round.
