Family workshop to make a mini gingerbread house with graham crackers, icing and candy at the Wells Barn.
Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is hosting a gingerbread house build at The Wells Barn on Friday, November 27. It's a drop-in activity, so you can stop by whenever you've got a window that day.
The setup is straightforward: you'll get a kit with graham crackers, icing, and candy to put together your own mini gingerbread house. Since it's a drop-in, you don't have to commit to a specific time slot—just show up when it works for you. It's the kind of thing that works as well for a quick solo project as it does for bringing along a friend or a couple of kids.
If you're coming from across town, it's worth remembering that the barn is a walk from the main conservatory entrance, so you'll get a bit of the grounds in before you settle in to build. Once you're there, the kit provides everything you need to get a house standing, from the graham cracker walls to the icing that holds it all together and the candy for decorating. You'll walk away with whatever you put together.
