Hands-on cooking class where attendees make fresh pasta from scratch and learn to prepare a vodka bolognese sauce with Chef Rosilind Woodfork.
Chef Rosilind Woodfork is leading a handmade pasta class at the AEP Foundation Education Pavilion on Saturday, November 21, from 2 PM to 4 PM. It's a hands-on session, so you'll be doing the work yourself: making fresh pasta from scratch while sipping a glass of wine. Once the pasta is ready, Woodfork demonstrates how to put together a quick vodka bolognese sauce to pair with it.
Woodfork didn't start in a classroom. She got her start early, catering her first small wedding at 16 while attending the Upper Valley Joint Vocational Career Center. From there, she earned a degree in culinary arts and hospitality management from Sinclair Community College in Dayton. Over a 27-year career as an executive chef, she found her real interest in teaching, and she now spends her time as a culinary instructor, passing those skills on to home cooks. This class is one of those opportunities to get a professional's approach to something as fundamental as fresh pasta.

It's a two-hour window on a Saturday afternoon, so you'll walk away with the technique rather than just a meal. The class runs from 2 PM to 4 PM at the AEP Foundation Education Pavilion, which is part of the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Tickets are $70 for adults and $65 for members.
