Sun Studio Tan runs its Happy Hour every Thursday from 3 to 7 PM at 612 N High St in the Short North, and the deal is pretty straightforward: you can get a custom airbrush BASE tan for $10. That's a steep drop from the usual $42, so it's a good time to go if you've been putting it off. If you want something a bit more, they also have the BUILD tan for $15 and the BRONZED tan for $25 during those same hours.

It's an LGBTQ+-owned studio, and they describe it as a place where every skin tone, every body, and every vibe is welcome. The Happy Hour is pitched at a few specific kinds of people: bartenders and servers facing a weekend of doubles, drag queens with a Friday show, dancers and entertainers who live under stage lights, and college students with formals and date parties on the calendar. To get in, you RSVP for free and then book a time slot at book.sunstudiotan.com; you pay at the studio. It's for ages 14 and over. There's a bit of prep involved: exfoliate and shave the night before, and show up clean—no lotion, deodorant, or makeup. Wear loose, dark clothes, since you'll be in a tan when you walk out. If you're driving, the Joseph Garage validates two hours of parking from 9 AM to 7 PM, which covers the Happy Hour window. The studio is in the Short North Arts District, so it's easy to hit on your way home or before you head out for the night.
