Free Halloween party for kids with slime making, spooky games, a costume contest and prizes in the Short North.
Sun Studio Tan in the Short North is hosting a Halloween Squishie & Slime Party on Friday, October 30, from 5 to 7 PM, with doors opening at 4:45 PM. It's a kids' party that brings back the slime-making from the organizers' August session, this time with a full Halloween theme and costumes encouraged.
Every child gets to mix their own batch of Halloween slime, choosing from three themed options: 'Witch's Brew', 'Pumpkin Patch', or 'Midnight Bat'. The rest of the afternoon is filled with a hunt for eyeballs, a race to wrap a grown-up like a mummy, and a monster-mash freeze dance. There's also a costume contest judged in categories like spookiest, silliest, most creative, and best squishy or slime costume. Every child goes home with a prize bag.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Columbus and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

If you want more than slime, there's an upgrade called 'Ghoulish Squishy Studio' for an extra $10, which lets kids design and take home their own squishy. Only 15 of those are available, so it's a first-come, first-served deal. Admission is free, though there are no refunds. Space is tight with only 30 spots total, so you'll want to grab a ticket early. The party is at Sun Studio Tan, 612 N. High St. #200, in the Short North.
