Halloween-season cover concert in which bands play Queens of the Stone Age, Nirvana, the Beastie Boys and more, with all proceeds donated to public radio station WCBE.
Rumba Cafe is hosting a Halloween cover show on Saturday, October 24, with six bands on the bill. It's a fundraiser for WCBE, Columbus's public radio station, and all the proceeds go to them.
The night is built around bands taking on other artists. Lou Mercy is covering Queens of the Stone Age, BeachKitty is doing Nirvana, and King Serpent is taking on the Beastie Boys. Shame Chamber, Lovely Weather, and Carpet Dancers round out the lineup, and the bill as a whole touches on Nirvana, the Beastie Boys, and Queens of the Stone Age, among others.
Because it's a fundraiser for WCBE, the money from the door goes straight to the station. It's one of those nights where you get a full bill of local bands and the ticket price supports public radio in the city.
