All-ages rock show by American Aquarium at Rumba Cafe, with doors at 6:30 PM.
American Aquarium play Rumba Cafe on Friday, October 30, their only Columbus date of the fall. The show is presented by Celebrity Etc, with WCBE, and it's an all-ages night, so you can bring whoever you want. The band is the sole bill, and they'll be playing a full set.
If you've followed them for a while, you know the sound: it's rooted in Americana and alt-country, with a strong songwriting tradition at the center. They've built their name on that kind of storytelling, and this show will be no different. It's a straightforward night of music, with the band taking the stage on their own without any opening acts to warm up the room.
It's a Friday night, and the all-ages tag means it's open to everyone, not just the 21-and-over crowd that usually fills the room on a weekend. That makes it an easy one to bring along friends or family if you're not heading out alone.

Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the show starts at 7:30 PM, so you've got an hour to get in and settle before they start. Tickets are $38.00, and you can find them at the Rumba Cafe box office or through their site. The venue is at 2507 Summit St, in the Short North.
