Free outdoor screening of the 1988 film Beetlejuice as part of the Classic Flicks Under the Stars series at Columbus Commons.
Columbus Commons is showing Beetlejuice (1988) on Thursday, October 15, as part of its Halloween-themed movie series. The screening is free and doesn't require a ticket, so you can just show up and find a spot on the lawn.
The movie is part of 'Classic Flicks Under the Stars,' the autumn version of the CAPA Summer Movie series. It's presented by CAPA and Downtown Columbus, Inc., and the organizers recommend it for adult audiences, though everyone is welcome. If you've seen the 1988 original, you know the setup: a couple of ghosts hire a freelance bio-exorcist to scare the living out of their house, and things go sideways from there.
Since it's an outdoor screening, you'll want to bring your own chair or blanket to sit on. A non-profit partner tent will be handing out complimentary popcorn while supplies last, so getting there a bit early is a good call if you want a bag. A few things to keep in mind before you head downtown: alcohol, tarps, tents, and staked umbrellas are prohibited. Parking is available at the Columbus Commons Main Garage at 55 E Rich Street.

The movie starts at 7 PM, but the bar and food trucks open at 6 PM, which gives you an hour to grab a drink and some food before the film rolls. It's all happening at Columbus Commons, 160 South High St., Columbus, OH 43215.
