Family Halloween fest with crafts, games and activities at the Barnett branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library, with costumes encouraged.
Fall-O-Ween Fest is coming to the Columbus Metropolitan Library's Barnett Branch on Tuesday, October 27, from 3 PM to 6 PM. It's a family-oriented Halloween celebration, and the organizers are encouraging everyone to come in costume.
The afternoon is built around a few different things running at once. There are crafts for making, games to play, and a variety of activities for kids and families to work through. It's an outdoor event, so you'll want to dress for the weather, especially if you're wearing a costume that doesn't leave much to the imagination when it comes to the October chill. The mix of crafts and games means you can spend as much or as little time as you like—you can hang out and do a few things or move through the whole spread.
Because it's a library event, it's set up for families with kids, and the costume encouragement is a big part of the day. If you've got little ones who've been talking about their outfits since August, this is a good place to let them show them off. The outdoor setting gives the whole thing some breathing room, too, so it doesn't feel like you're crammed into a small space.
