Colin Lazarski Trio

The Colin Lazarski Trio play the Ginger Rabbit Jazz Lounge on Friday, October 23, as part of the venue's Power Hour series. It's a tight, one-hour set that runs from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, so you're in and out in a single hour rather than settling in for a whole night.

Colin Lazarski has been playing guitar since he was 10 and spent his high school and college years in various jazz and blues bands. He studied at Capital University under the local jazz great Stan Smith and has since worked as a professional musician in and around central Ohio. He's a versatile guitarist, and the trio's set pulls from a wide range of styles: jazz, blues, rock, funk, and even calypso. That's a lot of ground to cover in sixty minutes, and the Power Hour format is built around packing it all into that window.

The show is at the Ginger Rabbit Jazz Lounge, 17 Buttles Avenue in Columbus 43215. Doors open at 5 PM, and the music starts at 5:30 PM. Tickets are $10.
